This Rosebud variety produces blooms of shocking pink and has a bushy habit and fleshy stems. This variety is shorter growing than some of the older varieties of Rosebud Pelargoniums.
Rosebud Pelargonium first appeared by a spontaneous mutation around 1850. Swiftly gaining popularity the flowers were often used for floral arrangements as well as buttonholes. They are a type of Zonal Pelargoniums (Geraniums) which have a bushy habit and fleshy stems. After falling out of fashion for a while the Rosebud varieties seem to be picking up in popularity once again with some interesting developments happening hybridisers.
