Hagemos Trollkrem is the fabulous Coloured Leaved version of the wonderful classic 'Mr Wren' Pelargonium (picture 3) and makes for a fantastic display of its silver green leaves with its slightly softer edged red flowers than 'Mr Wren'.
Not a variety often found available for sale in the UK, probably because it can be quite slow and challenging to grow. Hagemos Trollkrem was a sport from 'Mr Wren' found by S. Hagemo in Norway.
We are award winning Pelargonium specialists growing a large range of Pelargoniums including some rare, unusual and heritage varieties. We have recently won gold medals at Blenheim Palace Flower Show and Gardeners World Live at the NEC, we also featured on BBC Gardeners World (June 2015). Check out our store for more varieties and listings from us.
All Pelargoniums require protection from frost.
Great for the garden but perfect in pots - if you give it some heat and feed over winter it will happily carry on flowering for you.
These fancy-leaf Zonal Pelargoniums (Geraniums) are primarily grown for their remarkable foliage that really sets them apart from others. They are particularly interesting and diverse in their colouring with most of their original forms of coloured and fancy leaved Pelargoniums (Geraniums) were created by mutations.
In Victorian times the flowers of coloured and fancy leaved Pelargoniums (Geraniums) were often removed so the decorative displays of their leaves were not interrupted.
They are not as easy to grow as many of their other Zonal counterparts but can be very rewarding in the displays they display. We only grow small batches of Pelargoniums but we have made some plants available to buy from our collection.
These plants are supplied in a 6cm biodegradable pot which you can put straight into the pot or location you wish. As time goes on the pot will simply compost down and the plant will happily grow on.
