This is an unusual and rare hybrid of the lovely species P. gibbosum. Gibbosum Maroon has black flowers with yellow in the centre giving it a fabulous glowing appearance producing a sweet scent in the evening. It has interesting grey-green semi-succulent leaves on stems with swollen joints.
We have over 400 different varieties in our Pelargonium collection and offer a selection of them for sale.
Position: Full sun
Hardiness: Requires protection from frost
Growing media: A loam based compost or a good quality multipurpose compost.
Growth rate: Fast
Flowering period: All year round
How to care for your plant:
If used as summer bedding plant at least 40cm apart.
Remove dead flowers regularly and feed once a week with a high potash feed (a good tomato feed will do it!) to encourage a better & longer flowering season.
Water well, then allow compost to dry before watering again.
