Appleblossom Rosebud has tight heads of double flowers that are white with a edge of pink and red to them. Rosebuds are Zonal Pelargoniums (Geraniums) which have a bushy habit and fleshy stems.
Rosebud Pelargonium first appeared by a spontaneous mutation around 1850. Swiftly gaining popularity the flowers were often used for floral arrangements as well as buttonholes. After falling out of fashion for a while the Rosebud varieties seem to be picking up in popularity once again with some interesting developments happening hybridisers.
